I got to thinking: medicine is not necessarily the best path for someone like me to follow. Don't get me wrong! I'd love to do it! It's just not something that I necessarily love. In other words, I'd love to do it but I wouldn't love it at all! (Well, that's a bit confusing, but I'm sure you catch my drift!)
So after talking with my drama teacher, we both pretty much agreed that my biggest strength is the fact that I'm artistic (no flattery involved!). All the hours of watching Work of Art/The Next Great Artist on Bravo for the whole summer, creativity is sparked - to say the least. That, couple with listening to some awesome performers from Broadway, has been incredibly influential to me as of late. Anyways, I've started to lean towards some kind of artistic career. I've been thinking about that very deeply.
However, I do feel it will have something to do with theatre or dramatic arts in general. May it be an actor, tech, director, writer (HAHAHAHA!) or anything else, I'm sure I would love it. I'm lucky enough to have so much support towards whatever it is that I want to do, so I cannot take that for granted! Why waste it when I can do something I love?
What will I do?
Time will tell.
I've got one short year to think about it
I honestly can't wait!
WHY DID YOU LAUGH AT WRITER
ReplyDeleteEither you think writing leads nowhere
Or you think you are a bad writer
Both are correct
In all honestly, you aren't that bad of a writer, although your strength lies in spoken word.
Dramatic writing is not my strength!
